Online Advertising

Advertising Decisions?

Do you think any Corporation will decide to advertise based on the cheapest ad space they can find?
Would they dedicate themselves to one type of media, choosing only one method like TV, Radio, Newspaper or Internet?
Do they try and use the budget they have to blend premium and basic advertising and utilize this method into the widest coverage possible?

Sometimes, no and yes, in that order, to the above asked questions. So if you are operating an online Business and you have been the decision maker on Advertising and Marketing plans, you may want to take a look below and see if you are using the appropriate mode of Advertising.

Advertising Methods!

You are using one free online advertiser and running a couple of free ads.

$0 cost! Easy to update the ad information, highly unlikely you will see a high volume of traffic, and probably very low sales conversion.

You decided to use one online site to advertise, and you pay for promoting the ad.

Using one site certainly makes tracking your ad easier, but is your message going to be delivered to a wide audience? It will cover a wider audience of viewers who visit that site, but how many is that? Even the largest site cannot promise you the world.

You have expanded your free usage from one to several online advertising sites and strictly use the free advertising only.

There is nothing wrong with using free ads in several different advertising sites; it can be very successful however it also means a lot of extra work. The ads usually require constant updating and editing to keep them relatively fresh so they do not become buried among the newer paid and free ads that come in. It can also mean you are tied up for a few hours each day just to update and track the ads.

You are combining several online sites and you pay for promoting some ads and utilize free services for some ads.

Optimal set up, and good time management as you cut your time usage by utilizing the paid service ads, as most online advertisers will provide tracking, auto refreshing or both your maintenance is low. The paid service ads require just a few minutes to see the results and this allows you the time to refresh and update your free ads that are running. You may also see some solid stats with some of your paid ads and with that type of information you can incorporate the characteristics of the successful paid ads into your free ads to boost their views. Most importantly you have a very wide range of coverage that is strategic and offers you the best chance of converting views into sales.

Advertising Balance

A balance of paid and free ads as well as wide spread coverage will increase sales. After you have placed your ads and you have that balance, the focus will be to track the information (Marketing Stats) and make sure the ads stay refreshed. This takes time and patience, make sure you give your ads enough time succeed, but not too much time. If an ad does not work in one area doesn't mean it won't work somewhere else. Remove an ad but never delete it, even if it's a bad ad, keeping it around in non-use will remind you of why it didn't work and you will be less inclined to repeat the same mistake.
